Each artists will have their own pages on the networks’ sites
MTV Networks, MTV/CMT/VH1/Palladia and their sister music channels, are giving unsigned artists a chance to be seen and heard with the launch of a new beta program. The networks have partnered with Topspin Media GoDirect to give unsigned acts their own page on Artists.MTV, Artists.CMT and Artists.VH1 free of charge. The opportunity will allow artists to get fans, get on TV and make money through the content they share on their artist page.
To get started, artists claim or create a page through Topspin that will plug them into a network of over one million artists and 60 million music fans. Simply sync all social media accounts and choose songs, videos and photos to publish to the page. Artists will get ongoing promotional opportunities, such as getting their videos played in rotation during 1200 weekly hours of music across all networks and being featured on MTV Buzzworthy for pop artists and MTV Hive for emerging indie rock, hip hop, electronic, and other genres. Limited opportunities include opening for country newcomer Hunter Hayes at a sold out show in New York City that will be available via LiveStream as well as getting a chance to play at the Hangout Music Festival this summer.
All you have to do is opt-in to any opportunity you want and publish as much content as you can. Make sure you get as many fans as possible to drive traffic to your page and/or video so MTV Networks’ music publishers will see your video in their queue faster. The networks’ music supervisors as well as artists involved will be charge of picking unsigned acts for these opportunities. Of course, share as much original music as possible for a better chance to be chosen as a featured artist.
