Musicians react to Donald Trump elected President

Stars share their feelings on social media

It’s been a wild two years since Donald Trump announced his run for 45th President of the United States. Many thought his campaign was a joke while others supported him from day one. Either way, he just proved what most thought was impossible and was elected President over Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Musicians react, good and bad, about the upset.

Mick Jagger, Katy Perry, Jon Bon Jovi, Carnie Wilson, Maren Morris and others have shared their thoughts on the controversial President-elect Trump.

LOVE HARDER!! I pray, that in this time, we all make a conscious choice to see past our differences and love each other harder, no matter how hard it is to love the "other side." Division is an illusion. We are all one, united in spirit. NOW is the time for our hearts to OPEN, not close. As the saying goes…. "United we stand, divided we fall." This is where we drop our egos, let spirit rise and guide us toward love and each other. The person or people you think you cannot love, THAT is who you love. Extending love, compassion, empathy and kindness to all, even if not returned, this is how we rise. This is how we evolve. This is our greatest challenge and I believe we can meet it with open hearts. There is innate goodness in the people of this world, but too much fear. We must choose love over fear. I love you all and send love to each and every living thing. God be with us. #love #peace #unite ❤️ @waylonlewis
