Nancy Wilson’s stolen guitar recovered

One of two instruments has been safely recovered

An electric guitar that belonging to Heart’s Nancy Wilson has been recovered after it was stolen from the Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena in Atlantic City last week. Wilson shares her excitement for the return of her custom-built, one-of-a-kind purple sparkle baritone Telecaster with a hand-painted headstock.

“I’m incredibly grateful to the Atlantic City Police Department for recovering my guitar—it means so much to have it back in my hands. Their dedication and quick action are deeply appreciated,” she writes.

A second instrument, a vintage mandolin belonging to the band’s Paul Moak for 25 years, is still missing.

“However, we’re still hoping for the safe return of Paul Moak’s vintage mandolin, which remains missing,” she adds. “This instrument holds tremendous sentimental and musical value. A reward is still being offered—no questions asked—for its return. We just want to see it come home where it belongs. Thank you!”

NBC Philadelphia reports that investigators obtained surveillance video of the theft where they identified 57-year-old Garfield Bennett as the suspect. Police state Bennett was captured on video walking through various parts of the city, trying to sell the instruments. Police charged Bennett with burglary and theft on June 4th after being arrested in Atlantic City.

Police urge anyone in possession of the stolen instrument to contact their department to return it. They warn anyone anyone found in possession of it will be arrested and charged for receiving stolen property if it’s not willingly surrendered.

Anyone with details should contact the Atlantic City Police Department at 609-347-5766 or text anonymously to tip411, beginning with ACPD.
