Peart passed away last week at the age of 67

Neil Peart’s impact on drumming and music may never be matched in this lifetime. He was a hero. He was a warrior. He was a drum god who proved perfection night after night on stage. He was Rush’s main lyricist, often citing from his literary obsession. He rode his motorcycle across the country many times and documented in book form.

Unfortunately, he passed away last week at the age of 67 following a quiet three-and-a-half-year brain cancer battle. Not many people knew he was sick. Many had hoped for a future Rush reunion following Peart’s retirement in 2015.

Tributes have been pouring in since Friday’s shocking revelation. Buddy Iahn hosts the show solo and guestless as he shares his thoughts on the drumming legend’s impact on the world.
