Nemo James mixes country, folk with ‘The Minstrel’ album review

On The Minstrel, Nemo James latest country/folk fusion album, he clearly channels the late John Denver but with far more passion and soul. Besides strong tracks that even non-folk fans will enjoy, these songs also tell stories, 17 of them to be exact, and each will carry you more into Nemo James’ world for sure.

Going back and forth between poetic, uplifting lyrics to dark, melancholy slower songs. Still, the whole album flows very well, Nemo’s acoustic guitar is top notch, and his voice is exceptional. The Minstrel is how good folk should sound like.
