Neon City Festival adds 23 acts for inaugural festival

The event will take place next month in Downtown Las Vegas

Neon City Festival (NCF) has announced 23 acts that will join its inaugural lineup alongside headliners Alison Wonderland, Neon Trees, Russell Dickerson, and Seven Lions. Taking place in downtown Las Vegas from November 22-24, the first-of-its-kind music, art and culinary event is free for all ages and will feature local food and beverage vendors, art shows and fireworks.

Additional talent includes Beauty School Dropout, Bubba Sparxxx, Cassadee Pope, Filter, Lit, Restless Road, 408, American Mile, and many others.

“Neon City Festival will be a great way for music lovers of all genres to come together in a thrilling environment,” states Jeff Victor, CEO of Neon City Festival. “The lineup includes everything from rock to hip hop, country and EDM – on every corner, there will be an incredible artist performing a free show.”

Macklemore was initially announced as one of the headliners, but was removed from the event altogether after leading an audience chant to say “F— America” during a pro-Palestinian event in Seattle last week. The rapper, who’s been a longtime Palestine supporter, shared a lengthy social media message, stating, “do not misconstrue the word ‘fuck’ for the word ‘hate.’ It’s different to be angry than to disown. My ‘fuck’ – my anger – is rooted not in distain for where I was born but in anguish for how we can collectively allow this to continue. It is not directed at the people that make up our country, but towards our government who refuse to listen to us. It is directed at the politicians who have put profit over people, who put lobbyist money over their moral compass. I think, ‘How are these people representing us as a country?’ I don’t think I’m alone.”

Set times and stage locations will be announced soon.

Neon City Festival will transform downtown Las Vegas into a musical haven. The footprint extends from the Fremont East District to the Fremont Street Experience and the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, to the Arts District down to Las Vegas Blvd. and The Strat Hotel, Casino & Tower.

In addition to the musical acts, Neon City Festival will also feature food and drink specials from local Las Vegas restaurants and bars; captivating moments such as laser art shows, strolling entertainment and a special 3D-motion graphic show on “Viva Vision,” the world’s largest LED canopy screen; and citywide entertainment featuring block parties, pop-up performances, street festivals and surprises from beloved downtown attractions.

Created by downtown Las Vegas casino owner Derek Stevens – with support from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) – and overseen by appointed Neon City Festival CEO Jeff Victor, the event was conceived to show appreciation for Las Vegas locals and visitors alike.

Neon City Festival’s founders include Stevens (Circa Resort & Casino, Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, the D Las Vegas and Downtown Las Vegas Events Center), LVCVA, Steve Thompson (Boyd Gaming Corporation: Fremont Hotel & Casino, California Hotel Casino, Main Street Station), Terry Caudill (Binion’s Gambling Hall and 4 Queens Hotel & Casino), Chris Latil (Golden Nugget Las Vegas Hotel & Casino), Jonathan Jossel (Plaza Hotel & Casino), Blake Sartini Jr. (The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower), Andrew Simon (Fremont Street Experience), Joe Woody (El Cortez Hotel & Casino) and Eric Buksa (Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino).
