New Politics, the Brooklyn via Copenhagen based three piece rock band, have announced that they will be joining Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter and pop culture icon P!nk on tour starting October 10th in Oakland, CA.
New Politics are currently on tour with 30 Seconds To Mars and have toured with Fall Out Boy earlier this summer. The band recently performed their hit single “Harlem” from their sophomore album A Bad Girl In Harlem on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on September 6th. It was such an unforgettable performance that had Questlove tweeting the band afterward.
Jimmy Fallon also tweeted after the show praising the trio.
The band also performed “Harlem” on Conan on June 10th.
The album was released on May 21st through RCA Records and debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers’ chart. New Politics’ single “Harlem” has hit Top 5 at Alternative radio.
“Harlem” has been featured in the Taco Bell Cool Ranch Doritos Locos Tacos commercial which began airing nationwide on April 21st. Promo spots using “Harlem” also ran on America’s Got Talent.
ESPN named New Politics “Artist of the Month” and featured “Harlem” in their programming all of April. New Politics performed on NBC Sports 2013 Dew Tour in Ocean City, Maryland on June 21st. In addition, New Politics performed “Harlem” on the Logo NewNowNext Awards 2013 which aired Monday, April 15th at 10 pm ET on Logo TV. Alternative Press has included New Politics as one of the “100 Bands You Need To Know In 2013”. Additionally, New Politics toured with Twenty One Pilots for the 2013 MTV Artist to Watch Tour.
In 2010 New Politics released their self titled debut album through RCA Records. The album contained the singles “Yeah Yeah Yeah,” which was featured in a Dell Campaign in addition to being the Alli Theme Song for both the Dew Tour 2010 and the Lucas Oil Pro Motorcross tour, as well as “Dignity”. MTV deemed them “Buzzworthy” and named New Politics as one of their “2011 Artists To Watch” and they had their own MTV Push and Posted campaigns. New Politics have toured with 30 Seconds to Mars, Neon Trees and Dirty Heads amongst others. In 2011 they made their late night network television debut on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and they have also performed on Fuel TV’s The Daily Habit.
New Politics are looking forward to hitting the road once again where they will continue to perform their riveting high energy sets which had Spin declaring their performance was “…the night’s most lasting take-away” during their performance at SXSW. Before heading to SXSW, NPR raved about “Harlem.” New Politics performed all summer on UPROAR Festival with Jane’s Addiction starting August 9th to September 15th.
