“Earth Blues,” an unreleased track from the late, great guitarist Jimi Hendrix, has been unveiled. The song is part of the upcoming album People, Hell and Angels that will be released on March 5th via Legacy Recordings.
The album will feature 12 previously unreleased tracks recorded by Hendrix, all without the assistance of his band the Experience.
“Earth Blues” finds Hendrix settling into a nice groove on his guitar backed by a chorus of singers, in what could easily be seen as a departure from Hendrix’s previous success in psychedelic rock.
People, Hell and Angels provides us with further insight into the genius of Jimi Hendrix,” said Adam Block, President, Legacy Recordings. “Working with new rhythm sections and instrumentation, Jimi Hendrix was opening up the horizons of his music, creating new sounds filled with endless possibilities.”
