Nick de la Hoyde will capture teeny boppers with ‘Passion’ EP

With a recent influx of Aussie performers making waves in music, Nick de la Hoyde is poised to take his place with the already saturated pop market. While there are many pop stars making great music, de la Hoyde’s Passion EP, containing the tracks “The Longest Way”, “No Consolation”, “Aces”, and “By My Side”, while good pop songs that fit in very well with commercial radio, doesn’t necessarily stand out as anything all that special. That’s not to say there isn’t any musical talent here.

de la Hoyde has really slick production, vocal talent and catchy songs on his side, perfect for capturing the teeny bopper market who have outgrown their Beiber obsession and want to listen to something with a bit more maturity. They have that in Passion. Does it stand with the best of pop today? Yes it does. Does de la Hoyde have the staying power? That’s the question. Indications are good so far but let’s see what happens when we hear the rest of what he’s got “down under” his sleeve.
