School is back in session and fall is right around the corner and that means the onslaught of Christmas albums is in the pipeline. The first Christmas album of the year was released last week through Cracker Barrel. Reba’s My Kind Of Country was bumped up a week from September 2nd to August 25th after overwhelming demand. More are on the way from other acts, so let’s continue.

A vinyl edition of Justin Bieber’s Under The Mistletoe will be released on September 23rd via Def Jam Recordings.

Merle Haggard’s Christmas Present will be reissued on LP on September 23rd via Capitol Nashville.

Rascal Flatts will release their long-awaited holiday album, The Greatest Gift Of All, on October 21st via Big Machine Records.

Amy Grant has Tennessee Christmas on the calendar for October 21st via CCMG.

After a surprise announcement from Dolly Parton, Jennifer Nettles’ first holiday album, To Celebrate Christmas, will be released on October 28th through Big Machine Records.

Kacey Mugraves will release A Very Kacey Christmas on October 28th through Mercury Nashville.

Jimmy Buffett has Tis The SeaSon also set for October 28th via his own Mailboat Records.

NBC The Voice winner Jordan Smith also has Tis The Season set for October 28th on Republic Records.

Neil Diamond is also prepping Acoustic Christmas for October 28th on Capitol Records.

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have a Christmas duets album on the calendar for sometime this year as well. It looks like there may be an exclusive Target edition, but no other details or confirmation at this point.

In other non-Christmas news, Usher has announced Hard II Love for CD on September 16th via RCA Records.

Sugar Hill Records will release Dwight Yoakam Swimmin’ Pools, Movie Stars… on CD and LP on September 23rd.

Green Day is releasing Revolution Radio on CD and LP on October 7th on Reprise Records.

Korn is releasing The Serenity Of Suffering on CD and  on October 21st via Roadrunner Records.

Bon Jovi’s This House Was Not For Sale was previously announced for October 21st and see the band returning to Island Records after a brief public disputeStandard and Deluxe versions are available as well as a Target Exclusive with three additional tracks. A vinyl version is available, too.

Ronnie Dunn releases his first album for Nash Icon Records, Tattooed Heart, on October 21st. This is his third solo effort and features collaborations with his former Brooks & Dunn partner, Kix Brooks, and Reba McEntire.

Astralwerks will release Empire Of The Sun’s Two Vines on CD and LP on October 28th. Amazon will have an exclusive version printed on green vinyl.

On November 18th, REM will reissue a 25th Anniversary Edition of Out Of Time on a variety of formats. They include 3 CD/1 Blu-ray, CD2 CD, single LP and 3 LP as well as digital formats.

Metallica has finally announced their long-awaited follow up to 2008’s Death Magentic for November 18th. Hardwired…To Self Destruct is a double album available on 2 CD and 2 LP. The Deluxe Edition is available on 3 CD and 3 LP. An Indie Exclusive Colored Vinyl edition will also be released.
