These are some of the most Notable Releases coming from music’s top artists

AC/DC has announced its long awaited album, Power Up, will be released on November 13. The band’s 17th studio album features the new song “Shot In The Dark,” and sees the band reunite with producer Brendan O’Brien who helmed two of the band’s previous albums. The 12 new tracks will be released in multiple configurations including a limited edition, one-of-a-kind deluxe Power Up box that that lights up and flashes the neon AC/DC logo while the opening bars of “Shot In The Dark” blast out of the built-in speaker. The box includes the CD package in a soft-pack with a 20-page booklet that features exclusive photos and USB charging cable allowing the box to remain powered up and on display. A single yellow 180-gram vinyl in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeve will be exclusive to the AC/DC online store. Standard CD and black LP will also be available.

The list is out for the tenth annual Record Store Day Black Friday event, taking place on November 27 at independent record stores nationwide. Alice In Chains will release its second studio EP, SAP, as a stand-alone vinyl that includes an etching of the Alice in Chains logo. U2 will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its debut album Boy with a limited edition white vinyl pressing that includes an additional double sided poster plus lyrics/credit insert. Volbeat, Chris Cornell, Motorhead, Alanis Morissette, Lil Wayne and dozens of others will also release exclusives that day.

Jewel has announced a 25th anniversary deluxe box set of her 1995 breakthrough album Pieces of You for November 20th via Craft Recordings. This special 25th anniversary limited edition reissue will be available on 4 CD, 4 LP and Deluxe 2 CD comprised of the complete original album, newly remastered, plus B-sides, rarities, demos and outtakes, as well as live material recorded at the Inner Change Coffeehouse in San Diego in 1994 that led to a record label bidding war. The set also includes expansive new liner notes, photographs and never before seen content. The Inner Change Coffeehouse show will also be released separately on 2 LP as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday festivities.

Matchbox Twenty has announced 20, a vinyl box set that will compile all five of the pop rockers’ studio albums across seven LPs. The sets are numbered in gold foil across the back and will be limited to 5,000 worldwide. It will be released on November 20 with the first 100 copies being signed by the band. The collection also features Exile on Mainstream Revisited with 10 bonus and rare tracks. Mad Season, More Than You Think You Are, North, and Exile Revisited will make their vinyl debuts in the box.

Third Man Records and Columbia Records will release The White Stripes Greatest Hits on December 4. The first-ever official anthology of recordings from the iconic rock duo, Jack and Meg White, is an essential career-spanning collection highlighting 26 previously released songs – from late Nineties through early 2000s. The album will be available on CD, 2 LP 150-gram black vinyl, and digitally. A deluxe limited edition and only colored vinyl variant is also available as part of Third Man Records’ Vault Package #46. Collectibles that will be available with album purchases at independent record stores will be released at a later date.

Parlophone Records has announced release details for David Bowie Brilliant Live Adventures, a series of six live albums from the 1990s which will be released on vinyl and CD as limited one run only pressings. There will also be special limited edition boxes for both vinyl and CD to house the full collection and will only be available via the David Bowie official store and Warner Music Group’s Dig! store. The first three albums and the special limited edition boxes will be released pre-Christmas, with the remaining three albums coming early next year.

BMG is set to release Iron Maiden’s new double live album — Nights of the Dead, Legacy of the Beast: Live in Mexico City on November 20th. Containing over 100 minutes of classic Maiden music, the project will be available in multiple formats, including standard CD, a limited edition Mexican Flag, triple colored 180-gram vinyl via Walmart, standard triple black vinyl and a limited edition deluxe 2 CD book format. The album was recorded during the band’s three sold out arena shows there in September 2019 and is a celebration of their Legacy Of The Beast World Tour which began in 2018 and will finish next summer in Europe.
