The Gallagher brothers reunite after a long wait
Oasis ends years of feverish speculation with the confirmation of a long-awaited run of UK and Ireland shows forming the domestic leg of their Oasis Live ’25 world tour. Liam and Noel Gallagher will perform 14 shows in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin in the summer of 2025.
“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the duo shares.
Tickets for the UK dates go on sale starting on Saturday, August 31st at 9 am local time via Ticketmaster. Dublin tickets will be available starting at 8 am local time the same day.
It’s strongly advised that those wishing to purchase tickets register in advance of the sale with the relevant ticketing agencies.
The duo states the announced shows will be its only dates in Europe in 2025. However, The Times reported over the weekend the brothers, who recently buried their long rift, would perform 20 gigs in two cities next year with up to ten gigs booked at London’s Wembley Stadium and a rumored headlining Glastonbury festival appearance.
Plans are underway for the band to visit other continents outside of Europe later next year. A proposed tour schedule leaked on Monday (Aug 26th) but was quickly removed, revealing dates throughout major cities in the US. Those have not been confirmed.
The reunion news comes 15 years after they played their last gig at the V Festival in the UK in 2009. The brothers parted ways after they got into a physical altercation before a Paris concert, which saw Noel quit.
Oasis’ debut album Definitely Maybe celebrates its 30th anniversary this month. The fastest-ever selling debut in the UK on release, this seminal album marked the point when Oasis became a cultural phenomenon. Including the classic singles “Supersonic,” “Live Forever,” and “Cigarettes & Alcohol,” its songs sound as fresh and relevant as they did in 1994. Having sold over 6.9 million copies globally, it also sits as the second most streamed album of the ’90s, following their (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? at No. 1.
A limited edition deluxe 2 CD and 4 LP set will be available with the 2014 remastered album plus the previously unreleased and discarded original recording session from Monnow Valley along with outtakes from Sawmills Studios plus a demo of “Sad Song” featuring Liam’s vocal – all recently mixed for this release by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho.
