Opry 100: A Live Celebration on Wednesday evening celebrated the Grand Ole Opry and its impact on country music over the past century. The star-studded, once-in-a-lifetime live special showcased unforgettable performances and iconic collaborations from some of the biggest names in country music.
Opry 100: A Live Celebration drew 5.3 million viewers Wednesday night across NBC and Peacock. It was the most-watched program of the night among all the broadcast networks against mostly original programming. Hosted by Blake Shelton, Opry 100 showed impressive growth in its first four half-hours and continued to hold up well as its final half-hour surpassed its first.
Notable performances included Reba McEntire delivering an emotional tribute to two of country’s most beloved icons, Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn, in a heartfelt and powerful rendition celebrating their irreplicable contributions to the genre; Post Malone & Travis Tritt performing an unforgettable version of Tritt’s classic hit, “T.R.O.U.B.L.E.”; Garth Brooks & Trisha Yearwood honoring George Jones & Tammy Wynette with a tribute to two of country music’s most influential duos; and an Opry cast salute to fellow member Dolly Parton.
The telecast was executive produced by Silent House Productions’ Emmy Award winners Baz Halpin, Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn, along with R.A. Clark and Steve Buchanan.
Opry 100 Live: A Live Celebration served as the kickoff to a months-long celebration of 100 years that will last well into 2026. Upcoming Opry shows will include appearances by Opry members Lady A, Lauren Alaina, Henry Cho, Terri Clark, Vince Gill, Ashley McBryde, Del McCoury, Jon Pardi, and more as well as special guest performers including Asleep at the Wheel, Chayce Beckham, Dasha, Meghan Patrick, Shenandoah, Dusty Slay, and more. The Opry welcomes legions of fans to visit the Opry House in Nashville to experience one of the three to seven live shows it hosts per week; take a backstage tour.
