Snapped Notorious: Tupac Shakur premieres Sept 10th on Oxygen

Snapped, Oxygen Media’s longest running true-crime franchises, will premiere the two-hour special, Snapped Notorious: Tupac Shakur. The special will focus on the pivotal six day period leading up to the death of one of hip-hop’s greatest rappers, and will retrace his final steps in Las Vegas before he was viciously gunned down. It will also examine the evolution of Tupac’s friendship with legendary rapper Biggie Smalls, which became embroiled in a collision course that ended in tragedy. Snapped Notorious: Tupac Shakur premieres on Sunday, September 10th at 6 pm ET/PT.

Marking the 21st anniversary of his death, Snapped Notorious: Tupac Shakur will examine the unsolved case from his previous clashes with danger, to his rap rivalries, to the East Coast vs. West Coast feuds and theories that still shadow the case today. The special will feature in-depth interviews with his first manager, Leila Steinberg; friend, Danny Boy; founder of Rap Coalition, Wendy Day; rapper, Charli Baltimore; Music Journalist, Touré; DJ Mister Cee; Music Journalist, Brennan Williams and rapper and Tupac’s close friend, Yo-Yo.

Snapped Notorious is produced by Jupiter Entertainment with Stephen Land, Allison Wallach and Matt Sprouse serving as executive producers and Elaine Kavanagh as co-executive producer.

The special premieres two weeks after the Tupac biopic All Eyez On Me comes to Blu-ray combo pack and DVD via Lionsgate. Directed by Benny Boom and written by Jeremy Haft, Eddie Gonzalez and Steven Bagatourian, the film highlights the hardcore life of the prolific rapper, actor, poet and activist. This gritty narration of the rapper’s rise and fall includes character appearances from ’90s hip hop legends Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Suge Knight, Notorious B.I.G. and more.
