Pantera, Ronnie James Dio among new Funko Pop figures announced

Funko has announced a new line of Pop! Rocks figures that are coming soon. Pantera, Ronnie James Dio, Freddie Mercury, Dee Snider, Usher, The Cure, New Kids on the Block, and others are getting immortalized as collectible dolls.

Pantera will be released a four pack featuring the band’s original lineup of Pop! Philip Anselmo, Pop! Vinnie Paul, Pop! Dimebag Darrell, Pop! Rex Brown. The dolls are being modeled from the Cowbells From Hell era and feature a shirtless Anselmo holding a microphone, Paul in his signature black getup with drum sticks, Darrell playing his blue electric guitar and Brown with his black bass.

Dio will be honored sporting a white lacy shirt and stars and moon jeans. He’s holding a microphone in one hand and donning his signature devil horns with the other.

Iron Maiden will also be featured with four different glow-in-the-dark Eddie’s packaged together. Live After Death, Seventh Son of a Seventh Son, Nights of the Dead and Somewhere in Time Eddie will be an Alliance Entertainment exclusive. This is the second set of Eddie glow-in-the-dark POPs.

Bring down the house with an unforgettable music moment. The Funko exclusive, diamond collection Pop! Freddie Mercury wears a bejeweled crown and cape that glimmers in the light, as seen in Queen’s sold out show at Wembley Stadium in 1986. Vinyl figure is approximately six inches tall.

The Cure is taking center stage in in the POP! Rocks collection as a five pack of POPs! All the band members have united in this set, including POPs! of Jason Cooper, Reeves Gabrels, Robert Smith, Simon Gallup, and Roger O’ Donnell complete with instruments.

Pop! Dee Snider wants to rock your collection with iconic, rebellious, head-banging beats. He’s dressed in his “We’re Not Gonna Take It” black and pink outfit complete with face paint.

Jordan, Jonathan, Joey, Donnie and Danny of New Kids on the Block will be featured in their classic 80’s attire full of leather. The Funkos will be available individually and as a five pack exclusively through Walmart.

Funko is honoring the 40th anniversary of Rush’s Exit…Stage Left with a Pop! Album. Never forget where it started, or the great music that emerged along the way, by collecting this special Pop! Album of Exit…Stage Left which features a matching Pop! and the record cover art packaged together in a protective case.

Funko also announced that Elvis Presley, DMX and Bella Poarch will receive the Vinyl Gold treatment. Gold is the perfect way to commemorate favorite iconic music artists as a five-inch figure with a sleek, display-ready box that is easy to stack with other Gold collectibles.

The new dolls were announced as part of Funko’s 2022 Popapalooza lineup. No release date has been announced as of press time. Individual Pop! figures are typically priced around $12 each with the sets ranging from $48-60 apiece.
