Paul McCartney has teamed with record producer Rick Rubin for a six-part documentary series. McCartney teased the series with a 96 second clip on socials, stating, “#PaulMcCartney x @RickRubin – A forthcoming documentary event
Coming Soon.”
According to Deadline, the series will “amount to a behind-the-scenes magical mystery tour of McCartney’s unbelievable musical journey” with Rubin exploring McCartney’s music and musicianship from his first guitar through his success with The Beatles.
Not much else is known about the series as of press time, including the title or its release date. Further details will follow.
The news comes ahead of McCartney’s next solo album, McCartney III, that will be released on Friday, December 18th. The album features the former Beatle playing every instrument and writing and recording every song.
