McCartney shares $1.05 billion with his third wife
As if we didn’t know already, this weekend the Sunday Times put Sir Paul McCartney at the top of their Rich List of Britain’s wealthiest musicians. The publication estimates McCartney shares $1.05 billion with his third wife, Nancy Shevell, who’s the VP of a family-owned trucking firm in the U.S. that brings in over $300 million a year.
According to Rolling Stone, McCartney has topped the London newspaper’s Rich List every year since it’s first publication in 1989. However, you will not find McCartney’s name in this year’s Forbe’s Billbionaires List next to Bill Gates and Warren Buffet. That is because he shares his fortune and Forbes estimates values for individuals, not shared persons.
If Forbes included entire wealthy families, Walmart’s Waltons would top the list of over $100 billion combined fortune, and more than 1,400 others would be included in the prestigious list.
