Pearl Jam releases Pearl Jam: The Last of Us, a special four-track EP available now on all streaming platforms via UMe.
The EP opens with the “Future Days (Album Version),” the opening lyrics of which were sung in the latest episode of the popular Max series, The Last of Us. This collection includes “All or None (Album Version)โโa favorite from 2003โs Riot Act appeared in The Last of Us Season 1.
Two special tracks round out the EP. First up, thereโs โFuture Days (Live).โ Recorded during Pearl Jamโs headlining set at the 2024 Ohana Festival, frontman Eddie Vedder tips his hat to Joel and Ellie with a shoutout at the beginning. Finally, the new โPresent Tense (Redux)โ serves as the closer and appeared as the end credit for this week’s episode.
The Last Of Us, based on the acclaimed video game franchise developed by Naughty Dog for the PlayStation consoles, is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann. The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and is also executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil OโConnor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells; with writer/co-executive producer Halley Gross. In continued support of their latest album, Dark Matter, Pearl Jam will wrap a small spring tour in Pittsburgh with two stops on May 16th and 18th. The band’s Dark Matter Tour kicked off on April 24th and sees the group performing two nights in each city.
