Pet Shop Boys to release fine bone China tea set

The special tea set is the first product released as part of the new line celebrating 40 years

The Pet Shop Boys will release a special PSB-themed tea set. The products are the first to be launched as part of the new Pet Shop Boys since 1984 range to commemorate 40 years since the duo’s debut single, the original version of “West End Girls.”

Their long-term collaborators Farrow with Tennant and Lowe have designed the quintessentially British bespoke fine bone China tea set, which was manufactured by Duchess China in Stoke-on-Trent.

The limited-edition collection features a teapot, cups and saucers, milk jug, and sugar bowl – all in classic royal blue and white, and packaged in a bespoke box in several sets with prices starting at £200. The sets go on sale from November 20th via the group’s website.

Established in 1888, Duchess China produces the highest caliber of fine bone china using the same traditional processes they have used for 135 years. Each piece is hand-finished and decorated and each set comes with a product booklet and certificate of authenticity.

More Pet Shop Boys since 1984 products, including clothing, will be released in the coming months.

Pet Shop Boys released their 15th album, Nonetheless, produced by James Ford, on Parlophone Records in April. The record includes the singles “Loneliness,” “Dancing Star,” “A New Bohemia,” and “Feel.” It reached No. 2 in the UK album chart in its first week of release, marking their highest-charting studio album since 1993.

A special expanded edition of the album will be released on November 22nd featuring the full record, four new bonus songs, and the original demo versions of all the tracks on the album. Pet Shop Boys’ new double A-side single, “New London Boy” / “All The Young Dudes,” is released on November 7th. The single will be available as two digital bundles next week and from November 15th as two CD singles.

In July Pet Shop Boys concluded the latest UK and European dates of their Dreamworld: The Greatest Hits Live Tour with a sold-out residency at London’s Royal Opera House, and in September they headlined the Sunday night at this year’s BBC Radio 2 in the Park in Preston. The group will headline BBC Radio 6 Music’s Artist in Residency from November 11-14.

Pet Shop Boys has sold more than 50 million records, released 60 singles spanning five decades, and are listed in The Guinness Book of Records as the most successful UK duo.
