You+Me’s debut album rose ave. (RCA Records) enters the Billboard Top 200 chart at #4, #1 on the Folk Album Chart and #2 on the Digital Albums Chart with over 50,000 units sold in its first week. Additionally rose ave. topped iTunes in 30 markets around the world and debuted top ten overall in several additional markets including Canada (#1), Australia (#2), Germany, UK, Switzerland and New Zealand, with many more stellar debuts still to come. You+Me consists of Alecia Moore (P!nk) and Dallas Green (City And Colour) and is a passion project for the two.
The artists met through Alecia’s husband Carey Hart and instantly felt a connection and wanted to work together. Alecia invited Dallas to Los Angeles to write a song or two and ended up writing eight songs together in one week. The duo then decided to finish and record an album.
“We really had no intention for this to become what it is,” Moore comments. “We were just two friends getting together and doing what we love and I couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished.”
“We were just two friends getting together and doing what we love!”
“I am so very thankful for my friend Alecia and the beautiful music we’ve made together,” Green states. “We had no idea what would come of these songs and knowing that people are listening and loving it as much as we do is humbling.“
In support of the album, You+Me performed on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Additionally they have been featured in Entertainment Weekly, Billboard, Time, Huffington Post, Los Angeles Times Calendar Cover Story, Vulture and many more. Time declares, “The result of their effortless efforts is a ten-track album comprised of gentle folksy songs with soaring melodies while the Huffington Post says, “Green and Moore were destined to harmonize together.”
Last week, the duo released a series of videos from their exclusive live performance in Santa Monica. Fans can check out their performances below.
