P!nk to release ‘Today’s The Day’ theme song from ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’ Sept 10th

This is the first time the talk show has used a theme from a superstar

Pop superstar P!nk has written and recorded a new theme song for The Ellen DeGeneres Show for its 13th season in syndication.

“Today’s The Day” debuted during Tuesday’s (September 8th) premiere episode and will be released digitally to all digital retailers on Thursday, September 10th. The singer will perform the song on the show from New York on September 10th.

Ellen kicks off Season 13 with a premiere week so big, two cities were needed to do it. The show originates from L.A. but moved to New York City to tape several episodes for the week. Along with P!nk who will also perform on Friday, September 11th, other musicians scheduled to appear during premiere week include Ice Cube and his son O’Shea Jackson, Jr. from Straight Outta Compton on Wednesday, September 9th with Justin Bieber stopping by Tuesday, September 15th.

Hillary Clinton, Jimmy Fallon, Ronda Rousey and Emily Blunt are also scheduled to make an appearance during the week. Check local listings.
