New remix available now

Multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning rock band Portugal. The Man has released “Dummy (Chris Lake Remix).” Lake, the acclaimed producer and DJ, debuted the remix during live sets at Miami Music Week.

The original track was released earlier this month via Atlantic Records with the announcement of their long-awaited new album, Chris Black Changed My Life. The project was produced by Jeff Bhasker (Beyonce, Harry Styles, SZA, Mark Ronson) and due out June 23rd. “Dummy” is already in the top 15 at alternative radio.

“Worried about the impending nuclear war? ‘Dummy’ is an ode to The Cure,” shares the band’s John Gourley. “For all those hopeless doomers out there waxing poetic on the end times while dancing to Boys Don’t Cry. All my troubles seem so far away. Thank you for waiting, it feels good to be back!”

Chris Black Changed My Life is the band’s first full length album since the release of their now Platinum-certified, 2017 album, Woodstock. The album’s opening song, “Heavy Games II” featuring Jeff Bhasker, teased the forthcoming album with a companion visual featuring and produced by Jeff Bhasker. The album is dedicated to the band’s late friend and honorary band member, Chris Black.

The Portland-based rockers will follow the release of the album with very few headline shows for 2023. Featuring a career spanning set, each show will take place at an iconic venue this summer, including Portland’s Edgefield, Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New York City’s Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl.
