Album features the group’s latest No. 1

The Pretty Reckless’ long-awaited and critically acclaimed new album Death By Rock And Roll has landed at No. 1 on multiple sales charts. The album tops Billboard Top Albums chart, Billboard Rock chart, Billboard Hard Music chart, as well as digital and internet charts, marking 16k albums sold in the United Stated from MRC Data, dated February 27th. It’s the group’s first No. 1 album and third Top 10. The album also sold 5,300 vinyls, landing at No. 5 on Billboard’s Vinyl chart for the week ending February 18th.

The rockers dethrone country’s Morgan Wallen from the top spot after a record-breaking six weeks with Dangerous: The Double Album. The album falls from No. 2 to 4 after a 74% decrease in sales following backlash from a video showing him using a racial slur.

The set, released February 12th via Fearless Records, the Taylor Momsen-fronted band’s fourth studio album. The title track was issued in May 2020 powered by Momsen’s throaty, Joplin-invoking roar and thunderous riffs. The titular single became the group’s fifth No. 1 at Active Rock radio, a first for a female-fronted group.

In January, they dropped “And So It Went,” featuring guitarist Tom Morello. By thought and by action, emotion and intellect, the accompanying visual personifies the angst and unrest alive in this timely anthem. The song is also rapidly ascending the radio charts.

The album follows 2010’s Light Me Up, 2014’s Going To Hell, and 2016’s Who You Selling For. The band also has the incredible and impressive distinction of being the first female-fronted band to have back-to-back No. 1 singles at the active rock format and the first female-fronted act to have five No. 1 singles on the Billboard chart.
