Preview ‘Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue’ on iTunes

Fans looking forward to Nashville Outlaws: A Tribute to Motley Crue don’t have to wait until its August 19th release date to sample each of the album’s 15 tracks.

As of midnight Tuesday (July 1st), the album’s first single “Home Sweet Home,” performed by Justin Moore with the Crue’s Vince Neil, went on sale on iTunes as did pre-orders for the entire album. Also on July 1st, “Home Sweet Home” impacts radio and Rolling Stone Country debuts the video, filmed in Nashville and featuring all members of Motley Crue.

The other fourteen tracks, featuring Rascal Flatts, LeAnn Rimes, The Mavericks, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert and more, all have the option to preview :30 to 1:30 of each track.

After sampling much of the album, several of the tracks are close to their original rock counterpart, including Rascal Flatts’ “Kickstart My Heart,” Brantley Gilbert’s “Girls Girls Girls” and Gretchen Wilson’s take on “Wild Side.”

Some of the more obscure sounding takes include The Mavericks’ version of “Dr. Feelgood,” as a fresh acoustic folk tune, while LeAnn Rimes’ “Smokin’ In The Boys Room” and Big & Rich’s “Same Ol’ Situation (SOS)” are both bonafide country songs with the former featuring a slide guitar and the latter a banjo and fiddle.

Nashville Outlaws is a joint venture between Big Machine Records, Motley Records and Eleven Seven Music and shows off the band’s quality songwriting with these fresh takes on their classic hit songs.
