Queens Of The Stone Age release ‘The Evil Has Landed’

Villains is due August 25th on Matador Records

Queens Of The Stone Age have unleashed “The Evil Has Landed,” the second track from their highly anticipated seventh studio album, Villains, available August 25th on Matador Records. The track made its premiere this morning (Aug 10th) on Zane Lowe’s World Record on Lowe’s Beats 1 show.

Villains will be available on CD and double 180-gram gatefold vinyl with an etched D-side and pocket to hold 14 page lyric sheet. Produced by Mark Ronson and co-produced by Mark Rankin and mixed by Alan Moulder, Villains is the first full album offering from Queens Of The Stone Age since 2013’s …Like Clockwork gave the band its first #1 album in the U.S. (and #1s in Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Scotland, #2s in the UK, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, New Zealand, Finland… but really, who’s counting?).

The Joshua Homme-fronted group will be taking their colossal Villains Tour across the U.S. this fall when the band kicks off the tour September 6th. Shows at Red Rocks in Denver, Washington DC, Kansas City, St. Louis, Milwaukee, Indianapolis and Grand Rapids are among the sold out concerts. Fans can also check out the group headlining its first ever appearance at Madison Square Garden. Royal Bloods will support shows through October 24th.
