Track follows personal “Like Me”

RCA Nashville/Sony Music Nashville powerhouse vocalist Rachel Wammack shares her latest song, “Girl’s Gotta Know.”

“‘Girl’s Gotta Know’ is the first song that I’m releasing because my fans were demanding it. I love teasing bits and pieces of what I’m writing with them, but nothing has ever connected like this,” Wammack shares. “‘Girl’s Gotta Know’ received a huge response the first time I posted it at the beach while showing the song to my family back in the early summer. And every time since then that I posted it, I would get comments telling me to release it. I can’t explain how good it feels to connect with my fans and be bonded together in such a special way through this song.

“This song is for anyone who is waiting for someone who meets their standards and someone is brave enough to show them how they feel. I hope people hear that it’s important to know your worth and never settle. I’m living proof that it’s worth it.”

Written by Wammack alongside Jim McCormick, the track follows Wammack’s personal tune “Like Me,” released this summer.

Since releasing her debut single “Damage,” Muscle Shoals, Alabama native Rachel Wammack has been recognized by Rolling Stone, CMT, Bobby Bones, Pandora, Entertainment Weekly and others. In 2019, Wammack performed overseas and has shared stages with country music icons such as Trisha Yearwood, Rascal Flatts, and Reba McEntire.

Wammack turned to social media to stay connected with her fans during the pandemic. When sharing her life online became a burden weighted by pressures to appear perfect, she made the decision to take a break from it altogether. In the pivotal following months, the rising star rediscovered herself – she began writing with who she wanted to write with, wearing what she felt best in, and stopped worrying about how she appeared online. In the spring of 2021, she co-penned a song called “Like Me,” which was the story of her past year’s challenges inked on paper. With a fresh new batch of music led by the personal tune, the rising star is set to make her mark in Nashville with full momentum and certainty of who she is.
