RaeLynn releases ‘Heaven is a Honky Tonk’

The fiery new song is available now

Country sweetheart RaeLynn unleashes, “Heaven is a Honky Tonk.” The release of the unapologetic country rocker flipping tradition on its head is in partnership with Valory Music Co. and Red Van Records/Jonas Group Entertainment.

Co-written by RaeLynn alongside Lauren Hungate and Caroline Watkins, โ€œHeaven Is A Honky Tonkโ€ is a boot-stomping blend of Southern grit and divine rebellion. With pedal steel guitars, neon lights, and sawdust-covered dance floors standing in for halos and harps, the track reimagines paradise with a bold country swagger. RaeLynn also steps behind the mixing board for the first time, co-producing the single with Aaron Gillespieโ€”best known for his powerhouse drumming with metal outfit Underoathโ€”adding even more edge to the explosive track.

โ€œโ€˜Heaven is a Honky Tonkโ€™ is the perfect introduction to my new music. When we wrote it, I wanted to write a song that would be a JAM to play live. I love having the imagery of Heaven mixed in with all of the things you find at your favorite Honky Tonk. My producer, Aaron Gillespie, did such an amazing job bridging his country/rock sensibility to my country music background. He encouraged me to keep the rasp in my voice. I appreciate how authentic my vocals sound, as if I was just talking with friends in a Honky Tonk then had to jump on stage to sing,” RaeLynn says. “Special thanks to my team at Jonas Group Entertainment, Red Van Records and The Valory Music Co./Big Machine Label Group for believing in this song and helping bring it to life.”

โ€œHeaven Is A Honky Tonkโ€ marks RaeLynnโ€™s exciting return to The Valory Music Co., bringing her career full circle with the label where she first rose to prominence as a platinum-selling hitmaker and country mainstay.

Fans will hear even more new music all summer long, as RaeLynn hits the road on Jason Aldeanโ€™s Full Throttle Tour 2025. The tour kicks off May 23rd in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and rolls through major cities including Boston, Nashville, Houston, and over two dozen more before wrapping October 4th in West Palm Beach, Florida. RaeLynn will also take the stage at CMA Fest this June, performing at the Chevy Riverfront Stage on Friday, June 6th.
