New track “Heaven is a Honky Tonk” will drop next week
Chart-topping recording artist RaeLynn has signed with The Valory Music Co., marking a full-circle return to where the platinum-selling hitmaker kickstarted her career as a country mainstay. Her first release, โHeaven Is A Honky Tonk,โ is due out Friday, May 9th via The Valory Music Co. in partnership with Red Van Records/Jonas Group Entertainment.
The reunion was initiated by an organic, viral moment on RaeLynnโs beloved catalog of hit songs including โBoyfriendโ and โGod Made Girls.โ As the positive relationship between Big Machine Label Group and the singer/songwriter maintained over the past decade, the conversation around new music rekindled quickly.
โIโve been intrigued by RaeLynn since the very first time I saw her on The Voice,โ says BMLG Chairman & CEO Scott Borchetta. โItโs now come full circle as her energy is infectious, her determination unwavering, and sheโs brought us the absolute best music of her career. Welcome home, Rae!โ
โI couldnโt be more excited to be coming back home to Big Machine Label Group,โ adds RaeLynn. โHaving both Scott Borchetta and Kevin Jonas Sr. covering all corners of my career is a dream come true! Kicking things off with โHeaven Is A Honky Tonkโ makes it even sweeter; itโs bold, itโs country, and itโs 100% me. I am more inspired and grateful than ever because of this new music and team!โ
An unapologetic country rocker that flips tradition on its head, โHeaven Is A Honky Tonkโ is a boot-stomping blend of Southern grit and divine rebellion. Written by RaeLynn, Lauren Hungate and Caroline Watkins, the high-energy anthem paints paradise not with halos and harps, but with neon lights, pedal steel guitars and sawdust-covered dance floors. RaeLynn teamed up with Aaron Gillespie to co-produce โHeaven Is A Honky Tonkโ โ her first time behind the boards, and her first release with the producer known for his illustrious career as the drummer of hard-hitting Metal band Underoath.
Fans will hear new music first-hand from RaeLynn all summer, as she hits the road on Jason Aldeanโs Full Throttle Tour 2025. Kicking off May 23rd in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, she will take the stage in major markets including Boston, Nashville, Houston and more than two dozen others, before wrapping up October 4th in West Palm Beach, Florida.
