Album features new single “What Whiskey Does”

Randy Houser has delayed his new album, Magnolia. The country singer/songwriter shared the news via social media this week, explaining to fans that the project, which was initially scheduled to drop November 2nd via Stoney Creek Records, has been pushed back to January 2019.

“I’m excited to share my new album, Magnolia, with you. I’ve spent the last two years working on it with a completely different creative process that has allowed me to focus on making music in a way I haven’t been able to in the past. In that spirit, my team and I envisioned different ways to introduce this new music,” Houser shares. “While we were hoping to have the album next month, we’ve decided to move the release to January 2019 to make sure the music is shared as we originally envisioned. I couldn’t be more proud of this album and have been working on something really special to accompany it that I can’t wait for you to check out. Thank you for your patience and continued support.”

Magnolia, named after Houser’s home state of Mississippi, is now scheduled for January 11th. Having co-wrote every song on the project (and playing lead guitar on many of the songs), Houser’s fingerprints can be found on every inch of the project. The Magnolia State was a large influence on the homegrown, organic sound showcased throughout the record-in addition to his new season of life. Despite the many changes, Houser’s thick, commanding vocals (that earned him four No. 1 hits, a slew of award nominations and critical acclaim), remain constant.

Listeners got their first taste of the new Houser with the June release of “What Whiskey Does,” which debuted at country radio as No. 1 Most Added and Rolling Stone immediately dubbed “a classic tears-and-twang drinking song.” With the release of the dramatic and self-reflective traveling song, “No Stone Unturned,” fans get a deeper look into Magnolia.

Fans can get a live preview of Houser’s hotly-anticipated album on his recently launched The Magnolia Tour. Fans who purchase tickets to the Magnolia Tour will also receive a copy of the Magnolia album with every purchase (one redemption per transaction).
