Reba announces Gospel album, Ryman concert

Reba McEntire has surprised fans by announcing a new album and one night only Ryman Auditorium solo concert. The singer took to Facebook Live on Thursday (Dec 15th) to tell fans the news from the set of her new music video “Back To God.”

“It’s a gospel album. The new song that we did the video for today is called ‘Back To God,'” the singer says. “Loved it! It was very inspirational. We got to shoot it in this beautiful church on the east side of Nashville.”

The album is called Sing It Now: Songs of Faith and Hope and will be released on February 3, 2017 in a joint partnership via Nash Icon Records and Capitol Christian Music Group. It’s a double album that contains ten traditional hymns of “faith” on one disc and offers ten contemporary “hope” tracks on the second.

Reba co-produced the inspirational album alongside Doug Sisemore and Jay DeMarcus of Rascal Flatts. Kelly Clarkson, Trisha Yearwood and the Isaacs make an appearance on the set.

“Softly And Tenderly” with Clarkson and Yearwood will be available on iTunes on Friday (Dec 16th). A new song will be available to download every Friday up to the album’s release date on February 3rd.

Fans who pre-order the double album on CD and LP through reba.com will receive an autographed copy. There are also fan bundles that include a T-shirt, autographed framed photo and leather journal. A deluxe edition from Amazon features two bonus songs.
