Trek will now kick off January 2022

Reba McEntire has postponed her 2021 arena summer tour to January 2022. This is the third time the trek has been postponed due to the pandemic. It was originally set to run spring of 2020, and then pushed to summer 2020 before being delayed to summer 2021.

“We’ve waited as long as we possibly could to make a decision, but unfortunately we’re not going to be able to play our 2021 Reba: Live In Concert dates,” the country redhead shares. “As much as I wish we could get back out on the road, it’s just not possible yet. However, don’t worry…we are going to reschedule the dates for 2022. We cannot wait to get back out on the road and bring you our brand new show! If you’ve got your tickets, hang on to them – they’ll be good for the new dates.”

The 12 date trek kicks off January 13th in Evansville, IN before wrapping March 19th in Rosemont, IL. The only show that won’t be possible to reschedule is the July 16, 2021 St. Paul, MN date. Tickets for this show will be refunded.

While that news is disappointing, she assures fans big announcements are ahead, which likely involve music and television projects.

“I’ve got some big news coming later this year that I hope will be worth the wait for all of us! Stay tuned for some exciting announcements on tour, music and more coming soon.”

McEntire is expected to continue releasing anniversary editions of her 90s albums, as with last year’s Rumor Has It: 30th Anniversary Edition and 2019’s Read My Mind: 25th Anniversary Edition. This year marks 30 years since For My Broken Heart was released on October 1, 1991. “Is There Life Out There,” “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia,” and the title track were among the album’s massive hits.

Last week, she teased fans with two social media posts of her in the studio. The first is a video of her recutting vocals for her first-ever No. 1 hit from 1982, “Can’t Even Get The Blues No More,” for a reworked hits album. The second is a photo of her in the studio sitting at the mixing board with her dog Riddler by her side in honor of “National Pet Day.”

She can also be heard singing “Somehow You Do” in the trailer for the upcoming film, Four Good Days, starring Glenn Close and Mila Kunis.

“I was honored to be asked to sing the theme song for the new Glenn Close and Mila Kunis ‘moving and powerful’ movie, Four Good Days – in theaters April 30,” Reba states on social media. “It was written by the amazing Diane Warren who also wrote my songs ‘I’ll Be’ and ‘What If.’ I’m so proud to be associated with these three very powerful women!”

The song is coming April 23rd.
