The song will appear on Reba’s forthcoming album

The long awaited duet between country queens Reba McEntire and Dolly Parton is coming. The pair have cut a remake of Reba’s 1993 hit “Does He Love You,” originally recorded with Linda Davis, for an upcoming project. Parton revealed the news to Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live last night (Thurs, July 29th).

“Reba and I just did a song together,” she says to big audience applause. “It’s on her [forthcoming] album. We re-did the song ‘Does He Love You’ that she did years and years ago. We did a new version of it. It turned out really good, ’cause I’ve always wanted to sing with her and don’t know why we never did it until now, but we really sounded good together. I think the fans are really gonna like it.”

“Does He Love You” became McEntire’s 24th No. 1 hit and earned she and Davis a GRAMMY for Best Country Vocal Collaboration, among other accolades. It was the lead single from McEntire’s Greatest Hits Volume Two project.

McEntire’s upcoming project is set to be a collection of stripped down re-recordings of some of her hits, including her first-ever No. 1 single, “I Can’t Even Get The Blues.” More details are expected soon.

McEntire recently released a 30th anniversary pressing of her 1991 heart-wrenching album, For My Broken Heart, as the Vinyl Me, Please Country Record of the Month for July 2021. The 10 track album is available on 180-gram Magenta Galaxy vinyl and features a new tip-on gatefold jacket and listening booklet penned by freelance journalist Natalie Wiener.

Parton just released her first-ever signature fragrance called Dolly – Scent From Above, in partnership with Scent Beauty. Notes of mandarin, peony blossoms, jasmine, vanilla, sandalwood, musk and patchouli are truly Scent from Above. In celebration of the new fragrance, Parton released a new single, “Sent From Above,” available digitally.
