Record Store Day announces 2025 releases

Hundreds of limited edition and exclusive titles will be available this spring

The List of releases has been unveiled for 2025 Record Store Day. The annual celebration of independent record stores globally will be held on Saturday, April 12th, and feature hundreds of titles from popular artists.

Fans can pick up limited edition and exclusive physical releases by Gracie Abrams, Tori Amos, The B52’s, Kelsea Ballerini, Black Sabbath, David Bowie, Charli XCX, The Doors, Duran Duran, Fleetwood Mac, Jerry Garcia, Grateful Dead, George Harrison & Beck, Jethro Tull, Elton John, The Killers & Bruce Springsteen, Geddy Lee, Megan Thee Stallion, Joni Mitchell, Motley Crue, Oasis, Post Malone, Prince, Queen, Lou Reed, Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones, Shakira, Snoop Dogg, Stone Temple Pilots, Taylor Swift, Tesla, U2, and many others.

Gracie Abrams’ย Live From Radio City Hall brings the pop star’s breathtaking performances at Radio City Music Hall on vinyl for fans to relive all over again. Featuring 22 tracks taken from her albums Good Riddance and The Secret of Us, the double LP set includes hit songs like, โ€œThatโ€™s So True,โ€ โ€œI Love You, Iโ€™m Sorry,โ€ โ€œI miss you, Iโ€™m Sorry,โ€ and more. The set is an RSD First Release of 12,000 copies.

Kelsea Ballerini will celebrate the tenth anniversary of her debut album, The First Time, withย The First Time: 10 Year Anniversary Edition. The project will include five additional tracks and a 12-page book-bound jacket looking back on more than 50 career firsts. With the release of The First Time, Ballerini became the only female country artist to hit No. 1 with her first three consecutive singles from a debut album. The set will be pressed exclusively on orchid splatter vinyl for Record Store Day 2025, limited to 2500 copies.

Following the announcement of one final Black Sabbath performance with the original four members, the band will release The Eternal Idol as an RSD First Release. The album is the band’s 13th, originally released in late 1987. Now available for the first time domestically on 140-gram red translucent vinyl, it’s the first Sabbath album to feature vocalist Tony Martin, who would sing across five Sabbath studio albums between 1987 and 1995, excluding 1992’s Dehumanizer. The RSD First Release is limited to 6000 copies.

The Doors will release Strange Days 1967 – A Work In Progress,ย an album of early alternate mixes from the Strange Days sessions, before the overdubs were complete. The recently unearthed tracks were mixed by Bruce Botnick back in ’67 and feature new liners by him as well. The single LP is pressed on numbered translucent blue vinyl, limited to 7500 copies.

Liam Gallagher’s Acoustic Sessions will be pressed on a single silver & blue color-in-color mix vinyl.ย Gallagher’s Acoustic Sessions features stripped-back versions of tracks from his 2019 album Why Me, Why Not alongside Oasis classics โ€œCast No Shadow,โ€ โ€œSad Songโ€ and โ€œStand By Me.โ€ Acoustic Sessions was originally released digitally in January 2020 and will now be available exclusively for Record Store Day 2025. Each vinyl is individually hand-pressed, making every copy unique.

On October 1, 2022, Bruce Springsteen joined The Killers on stage at Madison Square Garden for a once-in-a-lifetime encore performance. For the first time, this special moment is being released on a limited 12-inch vinyl Record Store Day 2025. Encore At The Garden features the performances of legendary songs โ€œBadlands,โ€ โ€œDustlandโ€ and โ€œBorn To Run,โ€ which made this show go down in history. The set is an RSD First Release, limited to 5000 copies.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee and Rush lead vocalist, bassist, and keyboardist Geddy Lee will release The Lost Demos, two previously unreleased solo songs. Lee originally recorded this pair of demos, โ€œGoneโ€ and โ€œI Amโ€ฆ You Areโ€ during the writing sessions for his 2000 solo debut, My Favorite Headache. With the help of producer/engineer David Bottrill, he has unearthed them for the first time, properly mixed and mastered. The RSD Exclusive Release is limited to 3500 copies.

John Lennon’s final and only full-length solo concert after leaving The Beatles will be presented in the four-track EP, Power to the People – Live at the One to One Concert, New York City, 1972. Pressed on 180-gram yellow vinyl, the EP includes three previously unreleased tracks from the historic benefit concerts featuring John and Yoko/Plastic Ono Band performing Elephant’s Memory and special guests. The concerts are explored in a forthcoming documentary, set to open exclusively in IMAX on April 11th before airing on HBO in late 2025. This RSD First release is limited to 3000 copies in the U.S. and 5500 worldwide.

Post Malone, the Ambassador for 2025, pays homage to Nirvana in his Record Store Day 2025 release. Taken from Maloneโ€™s livestream tribute to the grunge rockers that took place on April 24, 2020, the 14-song set features Blink-182โ€™s Travis Barker on drums, guitarist Nick Mack and bassist Brian Lee. This previously unreleased performance is now available on yellow vinyl exclusively for the occasion with 100% of net proceeds in connection with the sale of this vinyl to be donated to Musicaresโ€™s Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division. The RSD Exclusive Release will be limited to 17,000 copies.

Ahead of the start of Oasis Live โ€™25, the band’s Time Flies will be made available on vinyl for the first time since it was originally pressed in 2010. Numbered and limited to 15,000 copies worldwide, the set includes four colored LPs and features the bandโ€™s entire singles collection from 1994 through 2009 on 4 LPs.

Stone Temple Pilots will releaseย Live in New Have 1994, recorded at Veterans Memorial Coliseum on August 23, 1994, only a month after their sophomore album, Purple, was released. The set list features live versions of hits such as “Vasoline,” “Plush,” “Interstate Love Song,” and more. This will be available for the first time on standalone 2 LP purple vinyl with 3500 copies available.

Swift will release a Record Store Day exclusive seven-inch white vinyl of “Fortnight” from her Grammy-nominated Album of the Year,ย The Tortured Poets Department.ย This is the first time “Fortnight [Blond:ish Remix]” will be available on vinyl.

U2 and Brian Eno’s Passengers Original Soundtracks 1 (30th Anniversary Edition)ย will be pressed on 2 LP recycled black vinyl as an RSD First Release, limited to 3500 copies. The experimental recording process resulted in a collection of 14 songs, written mostly for imaginary films, and features a guest appearance by Luciano Pavarotti and others.

The Wreckers, featuring Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp, will releaseย Stand Still Pretty on violet vinyl, limited to 4100 copies worldwide. The project was released in 2006. After touring to promote the album, Branch and Harp returned to their solo careers, and, to date, this is the only studio album by the band. The album features the hit “Leave The Pieces,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country chart and received a Grammy nomination. The 12-track, gold-certified album debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard Top 200 and includes the stand-out songs “My, Oh My,” “The Good Kind,” “Tennessee,” “Lay Me Down,” and the title track. This is the first release of the album on vinyl.
