Record Store Day Black Friday list unveiled

As Legacy Recordings announced its release of Record Store Day Black Friday exclusives, the entire list has now been unveiled. Alice Cooper, The Beach Boys, Eric Church, Extreme, Foreigner, Iron Maiden, Motley Crue, Raconteurs, Ramones, The Rolling Stones and more are among the exclusive releases.

Alice Cooper – Live From The Astroturf – 7″ – 2500 copies

The original Alice Cooper group reunited 10/6/15 at Good Records in Dallas, TX. This is two songs from that historic performance. A 45 RPM big hole record on colored vinyl, in a gatefold foil board jacket with art prints, and printed inner sleeve. Colored vinyl variants: 1150 white, 1150 pink, 100 black, and 100 split color pink/white are randomly distributed. Art prints in the pink/white variant are autographed by all four band members.

The Beach Boys – Becoming The Beach Boys: Highlights From The The Hite & Dorinda Morgan Sessions – LP – 3000 copies

For the first time ever, the earliest recordings from America’s greatest band. Nineteen tracks, nine of them previously unreleased on vinyl. Liner notes are by Jim Murphy, author of Becoming The Beach Boys, 1961–1963, and this release on randomly distributed red, blue and yellow vinyl is fully authorized by The Beach Boys.

Eric Church – On the Rocks: Live and (Mostly) Unplugged – 10″ – 2500 copies

A special 10″ EP from Eric Church for Record Store Day Black Friday. Taken from his July 2016 concert at Red Rocks. The LP includes four songs, two songs not found on the CD edition available through Walmart. Artwork is different from CD as well.

Extreme – Pornograffitti Live 25/Metal Meltdown – 2 LP – 1500 copies

Live audio of the band performing their biggest release beginning to end, plus bonus tracks. Pressed on double red vinyl.

Foreigner – The Flame Still Burns – 10″ – 1500 copies

The first release to celebrate Foreigner’s 40th Anniversary featuring a previously unreleased newly recorded version of “The Flame Still Burns.”

Iron Maiden – Brave New World – 2 LP – 2500 copies

180-g gatefold with printed inner sleeves. First time being released on vinyl in the United States.

Motley Crue – “Kickstart My Heart”/”Home Sweet Home” – 7″ Picture Disc – 2500 copies

A limited edition die cut 7″ Picture Disc featuring the Motley Crue logo and two of their most iconic songs.

The Raconteurs – “Steady, As She Goes”/”Store Bought Bones” – 7″

7” Hermitage Hotel Men’s Bathroom Emerald Green Colored Vinyl (the artwork on the sleeve was photographed in the historic, award-winning bathroom). The package includes two reprint stickers of 2006 tour backstage passes with glued-pocket artwork sleeve.

Ramones – Live at the Roxy 8/12/76 – LP – 3000 copies

This 180-g LP combines the best tracks from the recordings of two live shows on 8/12/76. Compiled by Craig Leon.

The Rolling Stones – Ride ‘Em All Down – 10″ – 3000 copies

A one track limited edition electric blue 10’’ with a track from their upcoming album, on which they honor the music of their roots. The track on this Record Store Day Black Friday 10″ is Eddie Taylor’s “Ride ‘Em On Down” originaly recorded by Taylor in Chicago on December 5, 1955 for the Vee-Jay Label and released as VJ 185.

Various Artists – The Wonder Years: Music From The Emmy Award-Winning Show and Its Era – LP – 3000 copies

The soundtrack features artists like CSNY, Van Morrison, Buffalo Springfield and Carole King. The album opens with Joe Cocker’s iconic cover of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help From My Friends,” which also served as the show’s theme song. Previously out of press since the initial 1989 release, the iconic soundtrack is finally coming back to vinyl with this limited edition reissue, pressed on color vinyl exclusively for Record Store Day Black Friday.
