Grammy Award-winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees Red Hot Chili Peppers return with a new single – “Dark Necessities” which is released around the world today (May 5th) via all digital retailers.
The track is the first song to be released from the Los Angeles-based band’s upcoming 11th studio album, The Getaway, due from Warner Bros. Records on June 17th on CD and LP. Fans who pre-order the album at the band’s website will receive an instant download of “Dark Necessities”. The album was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ previous album, I’m With You, was released in 2011 and topped the charts in 18 countries.
Fans who buy from their website get can order a Limited Edition 180-g Lithograph Cassette Single copy featuring the double LP pressed on 180-gram vinyl foiled stamped and numbered to 5,000 worldwide, a lithograph with album artwork, the digital album delivered on release date, cassette single of “Dark Necessities” and immediate download of new single.
