Report: Dave Grohl performs secret Nashville show for new documentary

After the success of his first music documentary, Sound City, last year, Dave Grohl is reportedly at it again. This time, he’s taking a completely different approach.

Grohl performed a solo acoustic show at the iconic Bluebird Cafe in Nashville tonight (May 7th), and sources tell The Music Universe that he filmed the performance for an upcoming documentary.

Rumors circulating at the surprise performance indicate that the musician is going to different “music” cities and writing or recording songs in each city and then performing them at iconic clubs or venues in those cities.

Not much else is known about the documentary, nor has one even been confirmed. Grohl didn’t mention anything about these plans on stage or afterward as he mingled with fans and posed for pictures.

Secret shows are something Grohl has been known for lately. His band, Foo Fighters, performed a headlining set at 9:30 Club in Washington, DC Monday night to a surprise crowd. The night ended with Grohl performing a massive guitar solo while walking across the bar.

We will update you should any further information become available!
