Olivia Rodrigo earns eight certifications

The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has unveiled the list of Gold & Platinum Class Of 2021. Every year the RIAA recognize artists who have achieved Gold & Platinum status for the very first time. The Class of 2021 includes a select group of 43 acts from several different genres.

“This achievement acknowledges the creative genius of these amazing artists and the label teams behind them,” the organization shares.

The RIAA Gold & Platinum Class Of 2021 includes titles released in 2020 and certified in 2021.

Olivia Rodrigo dominates the list with eight awards. Her album Sour was certified 2x Platinum upon its release in May 2021. Her single “Drivers License” received a 4x Platinum certification with “Good 4 U” earning 3x Platinum, “Deja Vu” 2x Platinum and with “Brutal,” “Favorite Crime,” “Happier” and “Traitor” also receiving Platinum certifications.

Pooh Shiesty receives a Gold certification for Shiesty Season. The album was released in February 2021 and was certified Gold for sales and streams equivalent of 500k in May 2021.
