Rikki Rockett’s stolen drum kits recovered after thieves try to sell to local Guitar Center

The thieves have been arrested

Six custom-made drum kits owned and stage-played by Poison drummer Rikki Rockett stolen last week have been recovered and returned. The kits were lifted from Donn’s Drum Vault in Bellvue, Washington, which stores rare and vintage kits. Each was recovered without damage after the thieves attempted to sell them to a local Guitar Center store, which tipped off the employee who called the police.

Donn Bennett, who operates Donn’s Drum Vault, shared an update on the Drummers of the Pacific Northwest Facebook Group.

“UPDATE. All of Rikki Rockett’s Poison stolen drums have been found!!!” he writes. “My sincere appreciation to everyone who helped spread the word. My deepest appreciation to our friends at the Tukwila Guitar Center for their cool and quick action and for keeping the thieves occupied until the police arrived. Also to our new friends at the Burien Sheriff’s Department for their great police work and for being total pros! The thief was arrested. All of the drums were recovered and returned in perfect condition. I feel deeply fortunate to be part of our drum community that watches out for each other like we all do. Keep it up. This is a big win for the good guys!”

The kits were valued at around $100,000, according to KING 5 Seattle.

Poison will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its debut album Look What the Cat Dragged In in 2026 with a possible tour. Several members were hoping to tour in 2025, but frontman Bret Michaels says those plans were derailed by his health concerns. He has high hopes to reconvene the group, which also features guitarist CC DeVille and bassist Bobby Dall, for the group’s ruby anniversary in 2026.
