Ringo Starr celebrates turning 77 today (Friday, July 7th) by revealing details for his new album, Give More Love. The project is Starr’s 19th studio album and will be released on digital and CD formats on September 15th with the vinyl release to follow a week later on September 22nd. Give More Love features ten tracks and will be released via Universal Music Enterprises (UMe).

As part of his birthday celebration, family, friends and fans will join Starr in front of the Capitol Records Tower today in a noon “Peace & Love” salute. There are satellite salutes and events happening all over the world with many being streamed on Starr’s Facebook page.

Recorded at Starr’s Los Angeles home studio, Give More Love features collaborations with friends including Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Edgar Winter, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Peter Frampton, Timothy B. Schmit, Richard Marx, Dave Stewart, country songwriter Gary Burr, Don Was, All Starrs Richard Page and Gregg Bissonette and more. The album contains four bonus tracks including a new recording of “Back Off Booglaloo” that is based on the original recording Starr made when he wrote the song. He recently discovered the tape when he moved. The other three bonus tracks are collaborations based on performances from Starr’s 2016 Peace & Love Birthday event.

In October, Starr will hit the road in the U.S. with his All Starrs, the same beloved lineup he has performed with since 2012 featuring Steve Lukather, Todd Rundgren, Gregg Rolie, Richard Page, Warren Hamm and Gregg Bissonette.
