Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, Roger Daltrey, Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo & more will be featured
Sammy Hagar (The Red Rocker) cruises across the country for even more candid conversations and unforgettable jam sessions with some of rock’s biggest names, as the popular AXS TV original series Rock & Roll Road Trip With Sammy Hagar returns for season three on Sunday, April 8th at 9 pm ET/6 pm PT.
The new season kicks off as Hagar heads to the world-famous Fillmore in San Francisco for a star-studded premiere from his fourth annual concert benefit, Acoustic-4-A-Cure featuring performances and conversations with Foo Fighters Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins, Mick Fleetwood, Bob Weir, and groundbreaking axmen Steve Vai and Vic Johnson. Additional season three highlights include Sammy’s sit-down with the iconic voice of The Who, Roger Daltrey, at Lake Tahoe where the pair reminisce about playing the 1973 Charlton Festival (April 15th); a trip to Denver’s landmark Twist And Shout Record Store with Canadian chart-toppers Nickelback (April 22nd); and Sammy’s visit with hit-making Foreigner guitarist Mick Jones in Austin, TX, featuring a pit stop at the Circuit of the Americas racetrack (April 29th).
The road trip continues on May 6th, as Hagar revisits the site of the groundbreaking L.A. Metal scene with Judas Priest legend Rob Halford, and acclaimed supergroup Kings Of Chaos, featuring Matt Sorum, Billy Duffy, and Steve Stevens (May 6th); followed by an acoustic session with GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter Sarah McLachlan, and rock power couple Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo (May 13th). Then, Hagar sails the high seas with fellow rock superstars Bad Company, Todd Rundgren, and Blue Oyster Cult on the Rock Legends Cruise VI (May 20th); celebrates Mardi Gras in New Orleans with celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse and New Orleans Jazz Fest legend Trombone Shorty (May 27th); and viewers get to spend 24 hours in the life of Hagar as he hits the road with The Circle to perform live at RockFest in Kansas City (June 17th). The season comes to a close with an all-access pass to his epic birthday bash on the beach in Cabo San Lucas on June 24th.
