This would be the band’s first tour since 2007
Multiple sources have confirmed that the Rolling Stones will launch an 18-date tour of the United States in the first half of 2013. Billboard reports that the legendary rock group will play arenas throughout North America beginning in May.
Sources claim major cities like Los Angeles and Seattle are on the bill for the West Coast while claiming East Coast cities will be included, but not singling any out at press time. An official announcement is expected by the end of the month.
The band played 50th anniversary shows last year in London, New York and New Jersey that were very successful selling over 73,000 tickets and grossing over $38 million. This would be the first Stones tour since A Bigger Bang from 2005-2007.
If confirmed, it’s likely the tour will be the highest grossing of the year. Stay tuned to The Music Universe for the official announcement when released.
