Iconic country tenor Ronnie Dunn’s new album, Tattooed Heart (Big Machine Label Group), debuts at No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart. The 12 track project was primarily produced by Rascal Flatts’ Jay DeMarcus and “…shows one of the top artists of our time at full use of his musical powers…” (Sounds Like Nashville). Dunn co-wrote two of the 12 tracks, highlighting familiar vocals from some of his most respected musical friends. Kix Brooks provides harmonies on Dunn’s current single “Damn Drunk” and “Still Feels Like Mexico” features Superstar Reba McEntire.
Tattooed Heart is featured as one of NPR’s prestigious “First Listen” albums and fans were able to listen a week before release. NPR said of the album, “You can hear Dunn striking a reflective posture toward country’s generational shifts, too, and carving out a satisfying new role for himself.”
Rolling Stone said of the compilation, “Tattooed Heart finds Dunn doing what he does best: delivering clever, relatable lyrics in the twangy, heavens-reaching voice that has put him on list after list of the greatest vocalists of all time.”
A 20 time CMA Awards winner with partner Kix Brooks, the duo most recently performed on the 50th annual ceremony on ABC. They will be back in Las Vegas beginning November 30th alongside Reba for their one-of-a-kind country residency. Reba, Brooks & Dunn: Together in Vegas continues throughout 2017 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.
