Russell Dickerson announces fourth studio album

Famous Back Home drops this summer

Multi-platinum artist Russell Dickerson announced his highly anticipated fourth studio album, Famous Back Home, set for release on August 22nd via Triple Tigers. The 12-track collection features ten songs co-written by Dickerson, along with the first two outside cuts of his career. Co-produced by Dickerson and longtime collaborator Josh Kerr, plus Casey Brown and Chris LaCorte on select songs, the album captures Dickersonโ€™s fearless evolution as both an artist and a storyteller, showcasing his genre-defying creativity and emotional depth. Beyond his chart-topping success, the project reflects who he is at his core: a hitmaker, husband, father, and proud hometown hero. With this album, Dickerson proves heโ€™s not just famous on stageโ€”but Famous Back Home, too.

โ€œGrowing up in a small town, I had this idea โ€˜Iโ€™m going to make it out of here. Iโ€™m going to make it big. Everybody is going to know my name,โ€™โ€ states Dickerson. “But then you have a family and itโ€™s like, โ€˜Actually, all I want to do is be famous at home.โ€™ The further down this road I get, the more I realize the only thing that matters is my family.โ€

The album features standouts like โ€œDust,โ€ a nod to David Lee Murphyโ€™s โ€œDust on the Bottle,โ€ and โ€œHeard It In A Country Song,โ€ which salutes some of countryโ€™s most iconic lyrics with โ€˜90s-inspired hooks and Dickersonโ€™s signature roots-R&B groove. Vince Gill lends his vocals to โ€œNever Leave,โ€ a stripped-down plea for redemption, while โ€œSippin’ On Top of the Worldโ€ delivers a stadium-ready anthemโ€”both marking the first outside cuts of Dickersonโ€™s career. Up-tempo highlights like โ€œWorth Your Wildโ€ and โ€œSunrise in My Silveradoโ€ bring fresh energy, fusing โ€˜80s pop influences with golden-hour charm. Still, Dickerson keeps his heart front and center. โ€œFor A Truckโ€ and โ€œLove That I Love Youโ€ explore love, loss, and longing, while โ€œ16 Meโ€ reflects on growing up and looking back. Already released, the Top 40 track โ€œBonesโ€ pays tribute to lasting, unconditional love. โ€œHappen To Meโ€ marked the biggest streaming debut of Dickersonโ€™s career, and the title track โ€œFamous Back Homeโ€ brings the album full circle with a deeply personal finish.

โ€œIโ€™m so pumped on this one. Itโ€™s just song by song,โ€ Dickerson says. โ€œTo go from โ€˜Yoursโ€™ to where we are now, itโ€™s opened up a whole new facet of me and my personality. What you get on stage is so connected to these songs โ€“ it finally caught up to my personality, who I am.โ€

Continuing the success, Dickerson launched the second leg of his RussellMania Tour yesterday (Thurs, June 5th) with a sold-out show in New York City, where he was also honored with a double platinum certification for โ€œLove You Like I Used To.โ€
