Episode airs May 4th on Fox
Multi-Platinum country star Russell Dickerson is set to make his acting debut on the season finale episode of comedy series, Call Me Kat, airing tonight (Thurs, May 4th) at 9:30 pm ET/PT on Fox. Titled “Call Me A Donut Wall,” Dickerson plays himself in the episode and offers character Max a new career opportunity that could change his life.
“I was super nervous at first, like playing my first concert all over again,” Dickerson says of the experience. “But the cast and crew were so welcoming and made it such an incredible experience. I could absolutely see myself acting more!”
In addition to his appearance on Call Me Kat, Dickerson recently performed his current, heartfelt single, “God Gave Me A Girl,” on NBC’s Today. The hitmaker is currently on the road, kicking off a packed summer of shows at fairs, festivals, and more.
Dickerson released “God Gave Me A Girl” late last year which is featured on his self-titled third album. Dickerson produced the single alongside Zach Crowell, and also wrote the song with Ashley Gorley and Chase McGill. The heartfelt, mid-tempo track tells the story of a narrator reflecting on how God led him to the love of his life after a string of heartbreaks.
