SACO Technologies Inc. is proud to be a part of U2’s iNNOCENCE + eXPERIENCE tour, currently on its first leg in North America, with a four day stop in Montreal, Canada mid-June 2015.
The show is a visual masterpiece from the great mind of renowned show designer Willie Williams, and to bring the vision to life, SACO joined forces with touring giant PRG-NOCTURNE to deliver two 96ft wide x 22.5ft tall see-through LED video screens. Each screen is comprised of 240 individual SACO V-Thru LED video panels, for a total of 480 panels. The V-Thru LED System, yet another innovation from SACO, is designed to be lightweight and semi transparent allowing the artist to become part of the video screen and interact with its content.
No stranger to technology, U2’s Bono addressed the audience at the SAP Arena in San José, CA immediately after performing “Even Better Than the Real Thing” from inside the V-Thru LED Video Screens, “What do you think?…We’re not afraid of tech. We like innovation,” he proclaimed.
Fred Jalbout, Chairman and CEO of SACO Technologies Inc. commented “U2 is a special client for us as they were the first to carry our groundbreaking LED Video screen back in 1997. As a company we always strive to keep our technology in constant evolution and we are very pleased to have been selected by PRG-NOCTURNE to realize U2’s artistic vision for this tour”.
