Song is title track from forthcoming album

Sam Smith has shared “Gloria,” the title track from the pop star’s forthcoming album due for release on January 27th via Capitol Records. The multi-Platinum, Grammy, BRIT, Golden Globe and Oscar winning artist/songwriter penned the song during lockdown, completed it with folk/blues musician Foy Vance and produced it alongside Jimmy Napes and David Odlum. Joined by the local choir London Voices, Smith recorded “Gloria” at the church the British singer attended as a child, St Mary’s Church, Saffron Walden in Essex, a location that traces its roots back to the Middle Ages.

Smith will guest on Saturday Night Live for the third time on January 21st, and will kick off the North American leg of Gloria The Tour on July 25th. Jessie Reyez will be the special guest on all dates except August 4th in Washington, DC. Australian and New Zealand dates follow in October and November 2023 with new shows added due to popular demand.

Fans who pre-order the digital edition of Gloria will instantly receive the title track, “Gimme” featuring Koffee and Jessie Reyez, plus the Grammy-nominated, RIAA-certified Platinum single “Unholy,” which spent three weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and four weeks atop the UK Official Singles Chart. Amassing over one billion combined global streams to date, “Unholy” also took the No. 1 position on the Mediabase Top 40 Airplay chart, spent 50 days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify chart and topped the Apple and Shazam worldwide tallies.
