Track is a new interpretation of Donna Summer’s 1977 classic record

Sam Smith has released “I Feel Love” available now to download/stream at all digital partners. The track is a modern re-imagining of Donna Summer’s 1977 classic record. Produced by Guy Lawrence (Disclosure,) Smith’s version will be featured in Target’s holiday campaign.

The track follows Smith’s single, “How Do You Sleep?” which has already amassed over 600 million streams worldwide while the video is approaching 145 million views. The song is platinum or greater in 11 countries and has won critical praise from The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, Out, Vogue and many more. Billboard says, “How Do You Sleep?” is a slick production over a snappy beat with Smith’s trademark vocals front and center…It’s sexy and fun and slightly dangerous.”

Smith’s early-2019 collaboration with Normani, “Dancing With A Stranger,” was a No. 1 airplay hit in the U.S. and U.K. The track has amassed over one billion cumulative streams globally and achieved platinum status in 16 countries while the official video is approaching 500 million views. Hailing it as a “Song You Need to Know,” Rolling Stone noted, “Their soulful, understated delivery suggests a moody narrative of two people looking to get an ex off their mind, falling into the arms of someone exciting, nameless and new.”

Since the release of his 2014 debut album, In The Lonely Hour, Sam Smith has sold over 22 million adjusted albums worldwide. He has won four GRAMMY Awards, an Oscar, a Golden Globe and three BRIT Awards. Smith’s sophomore album, The Thrill Of It All, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2017 and also topped the charts in the U.K, Ireland, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands and Belgium.
