Single is the first original studio material from the super group

Sammy Hagar and The Circle, featuring Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson, has released their highly-anticipated debut single, “Trust Fund Baby” from their first studio effort, Space Between, available May 10th. Hagar shared a taste of the new single on social media over the weekend.

“Here is a taste of the first song “Trust Fund Baby” from the Circle’s new album “Space Between“… play it on whatever system suits you and crank it up, it fucking rocks like the rest of the album! #Enjoy #ItsBeenALongTime #FullCircle #ItsShowtime” the Red Rocker writes on social media.

Hagar has said the new album may be his last. He spoke with the Broward Palm Beach New Times in September 2018 in which he described Space Between.

“It’s about the misconception that money is the root of all evil, because the truth of the matter is, that it isn’t money at all,” he says. “You can feed the poor, you can heal the sick, you can make people happy, you can stop a war with money, but it’s greed that is the problem. That’s what the whole record is about. It’s what I discovered by being both rich and poor.”

The lyric video for “Trust Fund Baby” can be seen below. The band will mount a large-scale tour of North America, in support of the new album, in the Spring of 2019.

Sammy Hagar and The Circle released At Your Service in 2015, a 2 CD live album featuring covers of Hagar’s solo material, Van Halen and Led Zeppelin.

Hagar has a big year ahead. He has wrapped production of season four of his AXS TV series, Rock and Roll Road Trip with Sammy Hagar. Robbie Krieger, Willie Nelson, Rick Springfield and more are on tap for the upcoming season with a fifth season ahead as well. He will also be expanding his tequila brand.
