Band announces five shows in Florida

Sammy Hagar & The Circle have announced five summer 2021 tour dates for Florida. Shows are set for Key West, Orlando and St. Augustine from late May through early June.

“We’re excited to bring back live music while keeping Redheads’ safety in mind. You can find more information about COVID protocol and safety measures by visiting each venues’ website,” the band shares.

The run starts May 23rd in Key West with two shows in Orlando on May 25th and 26th before wrapping St. Augustine on June 1st and 2nd.

It’s the first road trip the band has been able to embark since last year’s tour with Whitesnake and Night Ranger and was canceled due to the pandemic. Their first post-COVID show was in September at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for LOpen Charity Events and the Mawaka Foundation.

The group last played in front of a limited audience — who watched the water — in October for Sammy Hagar’s annual Birthday Bash at Catalina Island, CA for a Pay-Per-View livestream performance. Outside of the event, Hagar has refused to perform livestream shows or at half capacity in fear of the fans’ safety.

In January, the band — also featuring Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham and Vic Johnson — released Lockdown 2020, featuring sessions recorded remotely during the COVID-19 lockdown. The songs were recorded mostly on iPhones and mixed by Jaimeson Durr using Waves Audio.
