Santana details ‘Corazon, Live From Mexico: Live It To Believe It’

Ten time GRAMMY-Award winning rock icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Carlos Santana and his band Santana will be releasing a special concert event package entitled Corazon, Live From Mexico: Live It To Believe It on CDDVD, CD/DVD, Blu-ray/CD on September 9th.

Bonus video content includes 30 minute “making of” documentary film — entitled Live It To Believe It — shot in Puerto Vallarta, Riviera Nayarit, and Guadalajara.

Combined with 40 years of hits, Santana performed many of the songs from his double-platinum US Latin-certified and critically-acclaimed album Corazon at a once in a lifetime concert event in December 2013, accompanied by many of his album special guests, all celebrating their Latin music heritage in Guadalajara, Mexico (in his native state of Jalisco) at Arena VFG in Guadalajara in conjunction with the Mexico Tourism Board.

Guadalajara, Mexico was selected by Carlos Santana and Sony Music as the location for the concert and DVD to celebrate Santana’s Mexican roots and for Carlos to honor Mexico’s people, its culture and its history. The concert was a homecoming for Santana and a festive kickoff event to mark his critically- album Corazon, a project close to his heart. Corazon, the concert and album project brought Santana back to his birthplace and celebrates his love of his musical heritage, as well as showcases his own personal influence on Latin music and on today’s generation of Latin superstars.

The concert documentary entitled Corazon, Live From Mexico: Live It To Believe It, originally aired in the U.S. on HBO Latino on May 3rd, and was simulcast in Latin America and the Caribbean. This was the first time ever that HBO Latino and HBO Latin America have joined forces to premiere a concert event in the US and Latin American regions.

Superstar guest performers who joined Santana at the concert event captured on this DVD/CD include Elan Atias, Chocquibtown, Lila Downs, Gloria Estefan, Juanes, Miguel, Fher Olvera (of Maña),Niña Pastori, Samuel Rosa (of Skank), Cindy Blackman Santana, Salvador Santana, Romeo Santos, Soledad, and Diego Torres.
